As a professional woman, wife, and mother I understand the unique burdens women face given our various roles and our innate capacity for putting others before ourselves. Poor self-care coupled with life’s unexpected challenges can lead to problematic relationships, burnout, and instability.

I am a graduate from the University of South Florida’s Counselor Education program with over 18 years of experience in the field of mental health. I am currently a Qualified Clinical Supervisor for Counselor Interns. I’ve had extensive training and experience providing counseling services to a diverse clientele with everyday struggles as well as individuals with significant mental health concerns. This includes individual and group therapy services to assist clients fulfilling their emotional wellness goals, improving interpersonal relationships, and enhancing coping skills since 2005. This includes intense clinical work in the community mental health setting, college counseling population, and in the managed care setting. I have served as a mentor for counseling internship and practicum students and have extensive behavioral health management experience, with an emphasis on clinical treatment.

I am a wife and mother, I have a unique lens of cultural sensitivity to women issues. I’ve also had the honor of serving as New Millennium Community Church’s Ministry Leader and Elder for years.  In this role, I provided spiritual and professional counseling support to women within my community.
 

I know personally that the beauty of our strength is often forged through the difficulties of life. It is in the valley where we meet God and can start the process of restoration.
